Riata Ready, a pilot with a diverse background in aviation throughout her career, with humble beginnings as an enlisted aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Navy working on F-18 fighter jets and later on  the USS Ronald Reagan, attached to the HSM-77 squadron as a plane captain and supervisor of all flight deck operations for H-60 aircraft. After separating from the military, she began her civilian pilot career, obtaining her CFII, MEI, and Bachelor’s Degree, while working in Part 135 operations for cargo and drone chase missions. She is passionate about improving aviation through instructing as well as mentoring female pilots through Ninety-Nines Inc. During her free time, she loves chasing adventure, flying taildraggers in the backcountry, and exploring the wilderness on horseback.
